A double celebration for Agfa Graphics

Agfa Graphics’ is celebrating the fact that it is a winner twice over of the EDP Awards 2015, which were presented this week at FESPA in Cologne.

The European Digital Press Association, which  grants the EDP Awards to the best European products of the year, consider such issues as quality, value to the user and support and service whilst making their deliberations.

Agfa Graphics picked up its first award in for its Asanti Color Management software, which was judged to be the Best Colour Management solution

Asanti is a complete and affordable automatic sing and display production hub, including PDF creation and preflighting and features the latest Adobe APPE technology, resulting in a reliable and predictable output on a wide range of Agfa Graphics’ and non-Agfa Graphics’ printers. It also integrates with Asanti Storefront web-to-print and connects to cutting and finishing equipment.  Its built-in colour management is unique and easy to use and furthermore, it guarantees consistent colour quality with minimal effort.


The second award was made in respect of Agfa’s Anapurna M3200i RTR, which scooped the prize for Best Wide Format Roll-to-Roll printer up to 3.3 metres wide.

The Anapurna M3200i RTR is a dedicated roll-to-roll UV-curable inkjet printer, which comes in a six colour version, a four colour version, and a four colour, plus white version. It handles a broad range of flexible media for indoor and outdoor applications and the four colour plus white version, which made its debut at FESPA 2015 is distinguished by its ability to print white in different modes to improve the opacity of the printed material, as well as increasingcolour contrast and legibility. It thus transforms self-adhesive vinyl, PVC banners or backlit film into vibrant, multi-dimensional graphics that grab attention.
