A night at the museum
During a lasting relationship with Museums Sheffield, the charity responsible for running three of the city’s premier attractions, Signs Express Sheffield has brought new life to the exhibitions held at Weston Park, by helping to create and install displays that connect effectively with visitors, as well as providing graphics that push the boundaries between signs and art.
Weston Park underwent an extensive refurbishment programme throughout 2016, which involved the introduction of new exhibitions, the renovation of existing ones and further enhancements to the overall visitor journey. Signs Express Sheffield initially supplied partitions to block off the areas undergoing work and, as the refurbishment of each area neared its completion, it worked closely with the museum’s curators to produce numerous items, including wall graphics, floor graphics, ultraviolet window panels, informational displays, wayfinding signage and more.
Commenting on this on-going project, Carol Morris, co-owner of Signs Express Sheffield, said: “We love working with local attractions and organisations, such as Museums Sheffield,to make the visitor experience more rewarding and enjoyable and, as this projecthas involved huge amounts of creativity,I’m happy to report that thinking outside the box has now become the norm!”
