All signs lead to Tattershall Castle
The free audio guides and signage around Tattershall Castle, near Horncastle now have a new look thanks toLincoln-based signmaking specialist Allen Signs and Lincoln-based printing company,Elpeeko, who were selected to undertake the project commissioned by the National Trust.
Sara Blair Manning, General Manager at The National Trust, explained: “Tattershall Castle is a unique heritage site that attracts a vast number of visitors every year and, as the previous signs had been in place for over 20 years it was certainly time to renew them!
Elpeeko was tasked with developing the design concepts and having previously collaborated with Allen Signs, invited it to managethe manufacture and installation process, which included the production of 12 audio boards, made from acrylic panels mounted onto bespoke ash timber plinths.
The end result is an appropriately understated signage scheme that provides visitors withal of the necessary information without detracting from the majesty of the ancient building that it graces.
