Buses turned out in full battle dress

When VISG was asked to create full vehicle wraps for the four ‘battle buses’ that featured in the Channel 4 political comedy TV series, Ballot Monkeys, which was aired during the run up to the recent General Election, the company turned to its regular materials supplier, William Smith, for advice.

VISG Managing Director Alan Pattison explained: “The project came to us via a customers for whom we regular provide liveries for both coaches and commercial vehicles and there was a tight deadline of just three days, which included the removal of the existing graphics as well as the application f the new wraps.”

William Smith’s technical sales representative duly advised that 3M IJ25 digital print film and 30 Series coloured film would be the ideal choice for the application and, added that since it was supporting a very short-term event, there would be no need for further lamination.

Commenting on this selection, Alan Pattison continued: “The performance of both materials was excellent and since they are manufactured by 3M I was confident that once applied, there would be no comeback.

3M IJ25 Series is a two-year monomeric calendered digital printing film, suitable for short term promotional applications on to flat surfaces. It is available in gloss and matt white finish with a removable, grey pigmented, pressure sensitive adhesive for excellent hiding power.

3M 30 Series is a three to five-year monomeric calendered coloured opaque vinyl with a clear, removable, pressure sensitive adhesive that isavailable in a range of 39 gloss and 35 matt colours and is suitable for a wide range of signing and marking applications.
