Button-fix named as the Product of the Year

Button-fix, the ingenious product used widely in the sign and construction industries, where it is famed for achieving speedy panel installation, was named as the Product of the Year at the 2018 edition of the BSGA British Sign Awards.

The award, which was sponsored by Sign Directions Online, was presented to Button-fix co-creator and Director, Tony Wills at a gala luncheon and presentation ceremony attended by over 300 signmakers and industry suppliers at Leicester’s Athena Centre.

One of a total of 16 awards, the Product of the Year category is different to all of the others because it’s the only one where the signmaker members of the British Sign and Graphics Association are invited to name the new product or development that is likely to have the most impact on the industry.

The Button-fix concept is simple – durable nylon buttons are attached to the back of one panel and the mating fixes are attached to the other, whereupon the panels are brought together and gently positioned until the Button-fixes ‘click’.

Tony Wills said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award. There are many companies supplying the sign industry, so to have our product recognised in such a competitive field is a fantastic endorsement, especially since it was the signmakers themselves who voted for Button-fix.

“Since our official launch, Button-fix has built up a phenomenal following among the signmaking community because it offers a really quick and reliably accurate way of attaching panels and signage to walls and other surfaces. Particularly important for signmakers is the fact that the Button-fix fix is completely invisible and, with no bolts or screws on show, signmakers and installers can be confident of quickly achieving a fabulous finish that their own clients will love.”
