Caravelle Creative trebles its output with a JV33-160
Since the installation of its new Mimaki JV33-160 inkjet printer, design agency Caravelle Creative has reported a 300 percent increase in its printed output.
The new 1.6m wide-format engine, which replaced a five-year-old Mimaki JV3-160, was acquired in order to help the company increase its productivity, improve quality and meet the demands of its customers and, according to Ian Daniels, Caravelle Creative’s Managing Director, the JV33-160 has achieved this three-fold.
He sad: “Since we installed the new machine I’ve been constantly asking myself, ‘How did we ever survive with the old one?’ – and it’s no exaggeration to say that!”
Caravelle Creative offers a full design package, including website creation, branding, SEO management and small-format printing including brochures and marketing collateral and the installation of its new machine has enabled it to further expand this impressive product portfolio, by helping it to increase the volume of its large-format work.
Ian continued: “We didn’t do a lot of wide-format jobs before, but now, with the new JV33-160, we have the confidence to take on new clients.”
The JV33 runs Mimaki SS21 solvent ink, a friendlier alternative to the Mimaki SS2 ink used in the JV3. Available in white, clear and metallic options, SS21 is also eligible for the ‘Let’s Do More’ rebate-linked cartridge-recycling scheme operated through Hybrid Services, Mimaki’s exclusive UK and Ireland distributor.
Both the Mimaki JV33-160 and its smaller sibling, the JV33-130, can also be used for the production of outdoor durable work, such as sports field hoardings, one of the many areas Caravelle Creative has covered since installing the new machine.
Ian added: “We’ve also produced a lot of exhibition graphics, especially for events at Olympia and Earls Court, which is the sort of work that needs a next day turnaround and we can do that now, whereas before, we were looking at two days minimum.”
The new Mimaki JV33-160 was recently installed by Kettering-based wide-format distributor i-Sub Digital, whose Managing Director Andy Spreag, commented: “It’s a testament to the build quality of Mimaki machines that the original Mimaki JV3 was still running after five years of daily output and its cheering to know that the new JV33 has enabled Caravelle to build on its legacy and further expand its business horizons.”
The Mimaki JV33-160 and JV33-130 are both part of i-Sub Digital’s Summer Deal, which runs until the end of September. Orders for selected Mimaki wide-format printers placed before 30th September will include free delivery, free build, a £200 voucher for machine-compatible materials and consumables, plus a host of other five-star freebies, as well as the standard two-year Gold Warranty and full software package.
