CCD Design & Ergonomics appoints Chris Girling
CCD Design and Ergonomics has appointed Chris Girling to drive its wayfinding division.
Chris, who is reputedly one of the UK’s leading wayfinding design experts, was formerly the lead designer at LOCOG (London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games), where he was responsible for designing a wayfinding and signage strategy for all competition and non-competition venues. His work included the creation of a comprehensive set of wayfinding guidelines and the delivery of the signage for a number of competition venues such as the Velodrome, the BMX track, the basketball courts and Eton Manor.
Prior to joining LOCOG, Chris spent five years at Transport Design Consultancy (TDC), where he was primarily involved in information graphic design for a diverse range of projects, including St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International, Stratford International and the Dubai and Sydney Metros.
