CMYUK’s new state-of-the-art showroom and training and demonstration facility was officially opened for business at the end of February.

Tailor-made to accommodate a broad range of EFI, VUTEk and Mimaki wide-format printers, together with Zund cutting systems, the new facility has been designed to enable visitors to find the technology that is right for their business needs.  The layout allows easy access to every machine and customers can see every part of a job’s work-flow, enabling them to establish exactly how the equipment would function in their own premises.

Shrewsbury was carefully selected as the location for the new facility because of its excellent transport links and proximity to Manchester and Birmingham.  It offers an efficient, well-connected hub that serves the entire country.

Robin East, Director of CMYUK, also said that Shrewsbury was growing as a centre for technology-based enterprises.  “To be part of this thriving business community means we can expand and increase our sales and support network throughout the UK,” he said.

The Mayor of Shrewsbury attended the official opening ceremony on February 25th together with EFI’s Ken Hanulec, VP Inkjet Solutions, and Paul Cripps, Managing Director of EMEA, who flew in from overseas.  They were joined by representatives from local companies and display production specialists who had played a major role in the development and creation of the new facility.
