Colourgen to demonstrate the power of LED UV printing

Colourgen, which will be exhibiting at Sign and Digital UK for the 18th consecutive year, will be focusing on Mutoh’s LED UV print solutions for direct printing to 2D and rigid substrates and the profitable and creative opportunities that this technology offers users.

Visitors to Stand L42 will be able to see the Mutoh ValueJet 426UF A3-size, direct-to-object LED UV printer and the ValueJet 1638UH, a dual head/dual lamp, 64” wide high, quality LED UV printer for flexible and rigid substrate printing, together with examples of the wide range of applications that they can be used to produce.

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF is a compact A3+ flatbed six-colour LED UV printer with an integrated vacuum table. Offering a print table area of 483mm x 329mm, the VJ-426UF facilitates direct printing onto objects up to 70mm thick. This multi-purpose machine delivers ultra sharp, high-quality output and is specifically designed for short-run items or one-off designs of products and their prototypes, personalised gifts, packaging, labelling and specialty industrial items, such as decals and signs.

The Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH, Mutoh’s first ever dual head LED UV printer, delivers increased print cure performance and versatility.  It accommodates both roll media and rigid boards up to 15mm thick, offers a CMYK ink configuration, plus white ink for use on transparent or coloured substrates without losing saturation and varnish to create special print effects and multi-layer printing for added value.

The ValueJet 1638UH recently won the award for ‘Best 2017 Flatbed/Hybrid Printer up to 20sqm/h’ from the European Digital Press Association (EDP).

Possible applications include high-quality graphics, such as packaging designs, customised interior décor and trade-show graphics, as well as branding and other creative applications.
