At the recent FESPA 2015 exhibition, Durst was presented with the EDP (European Digital Press Association) award for ‘Best Wide Format Textile Printer High Performance’, in respect of its Rhotex HS printer.

The Rhotex HS, which uses aqueous, non-toxic and odourless dispersion inks on both coated and uncoated polyester fabrics, is the fastest soft signage printer currently available, offering production speeds of up to 900m² per hour and a maximum print width of 330 cm.

Edp-Awards-2015-sdoCommenting on the award, Christoph Gamper, CEO Durst Phototechnik AG, said:´We are very proud of the Rhotex HS, and regard it as a confirmation of our Durst Water Technology strategy, which sets out our aim to develop aqueous inks as an alternative to UV and solvent–based printer systems.”

The company used the exhibition to introduce its latest machine, the Rho WT 250, which was specifically developed to print with functional aqueous Inks on a large variety of rigid and flexible media, to deliver creating eco-friendly and odourless output with a litho-like quality.

Christoph Camper continued: “The response we received to this machine was overwhelming and althoughits market launch is scheduled for late 2015, we already have double-digit advance orders.”
