EFI introduces two new VUTEk LED printers

At this year’s spring shows, EFI will be introducing two new UV LED inkjet printers, which it claims, offer the fastest throughput available in their product class.

The EFIVUTEk5r and VUTEk 3r printers are technically advanced LED roll-to-roll machines, which are designed to offer the highest image quality at the highest rated throughput speeds, while also offering a range of options to drive productivity and expand the range of capabilities that sign and print companies can offer to their customers.

They offer Powerful LED curing technology that delivers both cost savings and environmental benefits, together with resolutions

up to 1200 dpi and native EFI UItraDrop Technology seven-picolitreprintheads with true multi-drop addressabilityfor smoothness in shadows, gradients, and transitions

Another useful feature is the unique colour distribution algorithm that provides superior economic advantages with ink usage, with a single litre of ink covering up to 149 square metres, on average, across all print modes.  Furthermore, the machines’ superior productivityenables customers to deliver more work in less time, with the three-metre-wide 3r model offering speeds up to 315 square metres per hour, and the five-metre 5r model offering speeds up to 455 square metres per hour.

In addition, the printers’ wide range of optional features provideusers with the ability to drive greater efficiency for faster production in high-volume environments. Inline roll-to-sheet cutting, slitters and a sheet collector kit are key additions that enable users to improve throughput by reducing or eliminating the need to handle printed jobs on separate finishing tables.

The VUTEk 3r and 5r also offer optional features for automated double-sided backlit and blockout printing, a mobile app for remote printer monitoring, multi-layer white ink imaging, additional light colours for extended-gamut imaging and more.
