Epson’s dye-sub line-up now complete
Epson is unveiling two new dye-sublimation printers to help users reliably and cost-effectively produce superior-quality textiles and promotional goods.
Part of a complete Epson package, the SC-F7200 and SC-F6200 printers are backed up with warranty and service support, enabling textile producers, photographic studios and promotional product companies to benefit from Epson’s high-quality output with peace of mind.
These new models enhance Epson’s dye-sublimation line-up by offering customers the chance to expand their production capabilities. Both the SC-F7200 and SC-F6200 are capable of producing high-quality printed textiles, such as clothing, sportswear and home textiles, and also offer the flexibility required to sublimate onto a range of hard substrates too, with the SC-F6200 in particularly being ideally suited to this application. The optimum choice for companies producing promotional goods, the printer can be used to sublimate onto tailored goods, including mugs and phone and tablet covers.
Martin Johns, Product Manager, Epson UK said: “With these two models, we have used the latest Epson engineering advancements to deliver two new dye-sublimation printers to our customers. With its new and enhanced capabilities, the SC-F6200 opens up a plethora of new possibilities in the photographic market for printing photos on to substrates such as metal and wood. Alongside this, the SC-F7200 has been exclusively created and developed to help the roll-to-roll textile market create outstanding results.”
Both printers feature Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printhead, which facilitates the production of outstanding, accurate prints with superb colours and clarity. These work in tandem with the UltraChrome DS ink-set to help users achieve the best-possible results. A new HDK Black ink has been created primarily for textile printing, to help produce deep, neutral blacks and dense shadows. Users printing on rigid substrates will also benefit from the standard black ink, as it produces smooth gradations, perfect for the creation of promotional goods.
Dye-sublimation customers purchasing these products will benefit from a complete Epson printing package as the hardware, software, printhead, ink and sublimation papers have been made and supported by one manufacturer to ensure everything works together seamlessly. The printers also come bundled with Wasatch software, enabling users to start printing straight away, without the need for further investment.
In addition, both products come with a one-year warranty as standard. If customers wish to extend their cover, Epson CoverPlus warranty options are also available, including Epson’s rolling one-year warranty that allows customers to pay for a year at a time, rather than paying for a long term upfront.
Furthermore, both models include a number of ways to help customers keep their costs low. High-capacity ink systems mean a low printing cost per square metre, while the use of Epson’s genuine inks ensures less cleaning and fewer printhead replacements are needed, thus reducing the possibility of downtime. Disposing of waste ink is now also easier and more cost-effective as both printers include a two-litre bottle to collect wastage. Both products are available with Epson’s managed print service programme, which facilitates tighter budget control and helps reduce overstocking.
