Hanging it out for Hull
First established in 1993, Designs Signage Solutionshas now been commissioned by Hull 2017 UK City of Culture to provide branding, signage and prints in support of the many events being held in the city this year.
Having been designated as the 2017 European City of Culture, Hull will be honouring its heritage, while also and acknowledging its revitalisation over the last decade, a process that is expected to continue thanks to continuing investment and a large influx of tourists.
Hull has already welcomed some extremely creative and thought provoking art installations, with Rob Daysley, Managing Director of Designs Signage Solutions predicting that there will be many more to follow. He said: “For an entire year, Hull will be showcasing the creativity of its people and if the ‘Made In Hull’ opening series is anything to go by, we are in for an exceptional banquet of visually stunning extravaganzas. This year of celebration also coincides with a huge year for us, as we continue to expand and we hope that everyone in the city enjoys similar success, whilst visitors to the city will be able appreciate the beauty of Hull and the countryside that surrounds it!”

Since its inception,Designs Signage Solutions has grown from a one-man-band,providing sign-writing for local taxi firms, to a leading supplier of all forms of signage and vehicle livery.Having moved several times in order to accommodate the needs of a growing business, it has now settled into purpose-built premises in the aptly named Innovation Drive.
Rob Daysley continued: “Over the last 23 years, we’ve served clients of all sizes, ranging from small local businesses to large national firms and have steadily built a solid reputation as a manufacturer of custom signage and lettering, vehicle livery and branding. Out current client list includes everyone from KCOM and MKM to Hull College and we continue to work with a wide variety of Hull based companies.”
Designs Signage Solutions was responsible for the rebranding of all KCOM vehicles last year, continues to fit reflective markings on ambulances nationwide and is also involved with many community projects, such as ‘Project Blyth’ a Hull schools green-power based design scheme.
