HEXIS UK Wrap Battle returns to Sign & Digital UK 2022
The organiser of the annual Sign & Digital UK exhibition has announced that the HEXIS UK Wrap Battle Contest will be back for the 2022 show. After a nearly three-year hiatus, the show returns with the hugely popular contest, which is held over three days, with the grand finale taking place on the last day, when the ‘Best UK Installer 2022’ will be crowned.
Three heats and a semi-final will take place on the show floor each day where participants will compete in 10 minute-long contests. Judges will use a unique scoring system that is designed to place a high priority on quality, with daily winners progressing to the grand final on the show’s closing day, Thursday 24 March. Once again there will be the opportunity for entrants to win over £5,500 worth of prizes.
Sign & Digital UK Event Director Jenny Matthew commented: “We’re delighted to welcome back the HEXIS Wrap Battle this year. The contest went down a storm at the 2019 show, attracting big crowds each day and creating a real presence on the show floor. It’s an excellent way to showcase and celebrate the skilled wrappers working within the industry. We’re all excited to see what the 2022 contenders have to show us!”
Stuart Shenton, HEXIS Sales and Marketing Manager added: “new HEXIS materials will be introduced round-by-round to make each heat gradually more difficult for the contestants.
He said: “The judges will score each contestant on the accuracy of fitting, efficiency, quality of finish, health and safety at work, work ethic, and technique. With the crown for the UK’s best wrapper up for grabs; may the best contestant win!”
