HP’s Latex Mobile app takes off!

HP reports that the HP Latex Mobile application that was first unveiled at SGIA in the autumn,is now available for download worldwide.

It offers remote monitoring of HP Latex 310, 330 and 360 Printers, including job information, print status and alerts and thus enables sign and print companies to remain informed about the status of print jobs from anywhere in or out of the office and to track projects through to completion.

Image_38b_1st_pillar_2Xavier Garcia, HP’s Vice President and General Manager, Large-Format Sign and Display Division said:  “As remote monitoring of many aspects of business is now commonplace, it’s a logical step to extend this flexibility to the printing process too and accordingly, sign and print companies are showing significant interest in the Latex Mobile app.”

Companies such as PressOn in the UK and SprintoutDigitaldruck GmbH in Germany, which are already using the HP Latex Mobile app, are reaping the benefits with HaldunKüp, Chief Technology Officer, SprintoutDigitaldruck GmbH saying: “If a customer calls for a last minute job I can give a fast answer because I know which material is on the printer at any given time.”.

The HP Latex Mobile app is available for download for free from Google Play and the Apple App store. A version of the app designed for tablets will be available in mid-2015.
