Introducing Materials 2017
A new conference and exhibition that focuses entirely on the cutting-edge of material solutions for architecture, construction, and design, and Materials 2017, will launch its inaugural event at the ILEX Centre in London on 25-26th April.
Organised by netMAGmediain collaboration with Schindler, the event is designed to offer a unique opportunity for architects, specifiers, and developers to meet face-to-face, network and expand business relationships with top materials manufacturers, and is being billed as a must-visit destination for all industry professionals.
Materials 2017 gathers leading construction professionals into one central venue, which is easily accessible via car or public transport. Furthermore it is also offering free attendance for delegates, combined with competitive prices for sponsor and exhibitor packages.
A wide range of products, ranging from ceramics, cement, stone, brick, and timber to glass, concrete, metal, and smart materials, will be featured, and whilst their use in the creation of striking designs will be celebrated, delegates will also be encouraged to consider the potential of the alternative functionalities they can offer when used within building structures, façades and finishes.
Seminar speakers from a number of the industry’s biggest players including names from Aecom, Arup, Tata Steel, and Saint-Gobain, will be sharing their knowledge within the three conference areas at the event, which will also feature a Meet the Buyers platform, where 24 desks will be dedicated to the discussion, negotiation and ultimately, the closing of deals. These desks will be available to sellers on a daily or bi-daily basis for modest and attainable cost.
Event Director David Schindler commented: “Materials are now developing so fast in terms of innovation, sustainability, and performance, it is vital that materialspecifiers have the best possible and most up-to-date information to guide their design and construction techniques. This will be provided via the educational content in the conferences and seminars we will be hosting at Materials 2017, but also by providing the opportunity for them to engage directly with the product manufacturers within the exhibition.”
