IPEX reveals Design Challenge finalists
Informa Exhibitions has named the six finalists and runners-up for its ‘Visitor Advertising Design Challenge’ competition. Since the launch of the competition in February 2017, IPEX has received over 50 entries from individuals as far away as the USA, Australia, the Middle East, as well as the UK.
The competition, which was open to apprentices, students and designers aged under 25 and worked in the wider print community, invited designs for a visitor promotion advertisement to be used in print and online in the run up to and during IPEX, which will take place at Birmingham’s NEC on 3st October – 3rd November.
A panel comprising a publisher from Informa, the IPEX marketing team, designers from Brandnew Future and MGA, and chaired by IPEX Event Director, Rob Fisher, judged the entries.
Rob fisher observed: “The competition has provided a great opportunity for young designers to experience to work to a commercial brief, while also enabling them to enhance their protfolios.”
For the next stage of the competition the top three finalist’s designs are hosted on the IPEX website (http://www.ipex.org/design-challenge-finalists) where visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite design. Each design includes a description from the designer explaining the inspiration behind their entry. The design that accumulates the most votes will be the overall winner.
The three runner-up designs can also be viewed on the IPEX website at (http://www.ipex.org/design-challenge-runners-up )
