isGroup celebrates a cutting edge anniversary
isGroup, the family-run North Wales-based company that specialises in designing, manufacturing, and installing cutting edge signage solutions for a range of business sectors is making a significant investment in manufacturing machinery.

It is currently awaiting the arrival of the DYSS X7 Digital Cutter from AG/CAD, which it anticipates, will eliminate cutting and trimming bottlenecks and improve the overall efficiency of its factory, while also overseeing an expansion to its premises in order to accommodate the new machine.

The DYSS X7 range is built to exacting standards, to provide excellent  quality, reliability and performance. Unlike many more traditional CNC routers, which can only cut certain materials, the X7 can also knife cut, V-Cut, and even crease a vast array of sign and display media, offering  fast, accurate, vision-enabled CNC routing, knife cutting and automated finishing.

Is Group Founder, Jane Whitehouse commented: ‘We have been considering the acquisition of a digital flatbed cutting machine for a number of years, but the launch of our new e-shop persuaded us that it was the ideal opportunity to purchase such a machine’.

After receiving a comprehensive demonstration from AG/CAD, isGroup decided that the DYSS X7 offered the best all-round solution for its business. The new machine will enable isGroup to retain more in-house control, improve precision and quality, reduce production bottlenecks and reduce lead times.

Jane Whitehouse continued: ‘The DYSS X7 will eliminate our cutting and trimming times for materials such as aluminium composites, foamex, acrylic and vinyls. This will enable us to increase our efficiency and productivity, which is essential for our online orders, where a speedy turnaround is a pre-requisite and, in order to further facilitate this, we will also be using it to produce our packaging materials too.”

isGroup Commercial Director, Chris Whitehouse also expressed his delight at the company’s new purchase. He concluded: “Since we are in the midst of celebrating our 40th anniversary in business with the launch of our new website and the introduction of an online shop, this new acquisition couldn’t have come at a better time. It will help us to open up new potential revenue streams while also providing us with an opportunity to showcase our work, which as well as our bespoke signage projects, also includes our very successful range of Way2Go wayfinding signs. Furthermore, it will also enable us to keep adding exciting new products, some of which are being phased in over the coming months.”
