JETRIX is on a winning streak
A British team, supported by JETRIX, has taken on an endurance rally and won, achieving the top spot after 18 gruelling challenges across Europe. The car, a Lancia Delta, was deliberately re-created with the original style rally branding using InkTec inks and media and was also printed on a JETRIX printer.
During the 10 days of the rally the team drove 2,700 miles, traversed six mountain passes, were stopped for one by German police (they were innocent!) and did three laps of the Nurburgring at 108 percent of the stated top speed. The uniqueness of the vehicle graphics, plus the noise of the car, which in true rally style, emitted much popping and banging as the throttle was let off, endured that the team enjoyed a great reception wherever it went.
In a tightly fought contest, the team won by 27 points, scoring highly in one of the last few challenges, which meant it ended the competition in the lead.
Commenting on the challenge, Adam Drury, one of the team members said: “It was quite a trip and the 32 year old car didn’t even breakdown once! After weather testing the sponsor logos printed on the JETRIX, the ink hadn’t deteriorated at all, which is why we wanted to use them. We are really grateful to InkTec for its support – the car looked tremendous and attracted a lot of attention.”
