Kornit introduces single step textile printing

Kornit, which is currently showing on Stand B8, Hall 8 at FESPA 2015, is using the show to introduce two new product ranges.

Taking centre stage is the Kornit Allegro roll-to-roll industrial textile printing system, which is the only stand-alone, one step, no-pre-treatment, digital printing solution. The system supports multiple fabric types for use in fashion, sports and home-decor applications.

Based on Kornit’sNeoPigment printing technology, which completely eliminates pre- and post-treatment processes for both natural and synthetic fabrics, the Allegrohelps to facilitate the development of new business models that cater for the mass customisation and personalisation of textiles in the fashion and home décor sectors.

The Allegro, which can be located anywhere, without environmental constraints, is designed to support ultra-short up to medium-length runs and offers a vivid and wide color gamut, excellent color fastness and hand feel, and is OekoTex 100 certified and GOTS pre-approved.

The print engine, which enables speeds of up to 100 linear metres per hour, features a new generation of printheads with an advanced recirculating ink system and new algorithms for dynamic control of drop firing conditions in all printing modes. It also features an advanced adhesive belt conveyor system and an axial unwinding system that incorporates adjustable fabric width and tension mechanisms for faultless output of UV resistant materials.

Kornit will be providing live demonstrations of the Allegro on its stand and its output will also be featured in FESPA’s new Printeriors application showcase where visitors can see it  used on living room furniture and for home textiles.

Kornit Digital is also using the event to introduce a new series of digital inks that is designed for use with all of its direct-to-garment systems.

The new NeoPigment Pure formulation is designed as an organic evolution of the company’s existing NeoPigment process and offers a host of benefits, including increased vivacity, an improved hand feel and a more opaque and smooth reproduction of white.

The new inkset comprises CMYK plus red, green and white and is formulated to supersede the company’s existing ink families by providing colour standards that are closer to ideal LAB values.

NeoPigment Pure ink offers reduced post-print odour, and is suitable for use on virtually all fabric types and offers the added benefit of 100 percent sustainability and biodegradability. It is also fully compliant with OekoTex 100 and is GOTS pre-approved.

Kornit’s direct-to-garment printers cover all budgetary and production requirements and the product line-up at FESPA includes the Kornit Avalanche portfolio of industrial high volume solutions, the Kornit Storm II, which is designed for single-operator use and the entry-level and small business Kornit Breeze. Visitors can also see Kornit’s Paradigm II printer integrated with a screenprinting carousel plus the new Allegro.
