It’s open house at Spandex
Spandex will host its Innovation Days at an Open House event at its premises in Bristol on 6th-7th December 2017.
The Open House will offer signmakers and digital print companies the opportunity to engage in a variety of exciting new material and equipment demonstrations, together with hands-on workshops and a host of other activities. Attendees will also have access to onsite experts who will help them to identify new business opportunities and to try new products and applications.
The live demonstrations on offer will include vehicle wrapping and a resident specialist will show the latest wrapping techniques, using the newest colours, patterns and trends, such as the new psychedelic and reflective wrap films, to help visitors improve their own skills.
Experts will also demonstrate a range of interior décor applications including wall wraps and glass manifestation that will enable visitors to see first-hand the difference digitally printed materials can make to walls and furniture. In addition, attendees will be able to see the advantages of using frosted materials on windows for both privacy and decorative purposes.
Those attendees who want to learn more about digital textile printing will be able to view the entire print process and examples of the vast array of different items that they can produce, including everything from bean bags to displays. They will also be able to see the Roland Texart XT-640 and the HP Latex 1500 printers in action.
Two new additions to the Spandex product portfolio will be unveiled at the event. The new swissQprint Impala LED, will be making its UK debut, together with ROB the Robot, a fully automatic modular robotic arm for automating the loading and unloading of rigid sheets.
The HP Latex 1500 super-wide format printer will also be running throughout the two-day event and attendees will have the opportunity to quiz experts about the benefits and functionality of the 3.2 metre printer. Other print and finishing technology on show will include equipment from Roland, Epson and Sawgrass, together with flatbed applicators from Rollsroller and Roll X and Zund’s G3 digital cutting system.
The event will provide visitors with the opportunity to speak to material specialists who will be happy to impart their knowledge on new substrates and applications, as well as providing printing tips and techniques for use with various wide format print platforms.
A number of exclusive promotions will be on offer to Open House attendees, all of whom will receive a free gift bag.
