Park Communications faces a transatlantic challenge

Print specialist Park Communications, which operates from a 47,00sq.ft facility in Becton, near the City of London was recently challenged to put its quality service to the test.

The company was commissioned by Askew, a creative consultancy and design studio based in New York, to produce three high-quality fashion posters for next day delivery. The brief, which Park Communications received at 10.30pm on Tuesday evening, stipulated that the posters should be output and mounted on 1/4″ thick white foamcore.

Alison Branch, Park Communication’s Managing Director, explained: “We confirmed we could meet the deadline and recommended printing straight onto foam board, which achieves a superior  result as it eliminates any potential ripples or bubbles, as well as being cheaper for the customer.

“The final artwork file was transmitted to us from New York at midnight and the board was ordered at 8.30am on Wednesday morning.”

Using its EFI VUTEk GS3250LX Pro UD hybrid printer, purchased from CMYUK, Park Communication set to work. With its production-level speeds and continuous print functionality, the printer’s LED ink-curing technology is ideal for use on recycled and other heat sensitive materials without warping or headstrikes. In addition, it emits virtually zero VOCs, uses fewer consumables, creates less waste and uses less energy, thus providing users with a more environmentally friendly printing solution.

Accordingly, Park Communications was able to deliver the posters less than 24 hours following receipt of the order, to the complete satisfaction of all concerned.

Alison Branch concluded: “Our clients include major names within the fashion, financial and corporate sectors and so it’s essential that we combine the highest quality output with a speedy turnaround. Happily, we know that we can always rely on the GS3250 to deliver outstanding output and on this occasion, it really came into its own.”
