Products and prizes galore at Sign & Digital UK 2014
Visitors to this year’s Sign & Digital UK exhibition, which takes place on 30th April to 1st May, will be able to see a host of new product launches and take advantage of some splendid giveaways.
The new launches will include the introduction of the Mimaki JFX200-2513 LED UV cure flatbed printer, on the Hybrid Services stand (Stand F10) and the Mimaki UJV500, a roll-to-roll UV printer capable of high production volumes, which is aimed at the decor, vehicle wrap and display graphics markets.
Roland DG will use the show as the launch pad for the VersaUV LEJ-640F, the company’s first ever-dedicated flatbed printer, on Stand G30. In addition, the company is planning an exclusive prize give away in the form of a Roland VersaART RE-640 large format, inkjet printer package, worth more than £11,000. The prize includes a Roland VersaART RE-640 64” wide dual CMYK printer, installation and a set of inks, plus a place on the Intermediate Digital Print course at the Roland DG Academy and a one-year Roland warranty.
Targeted at long-term outdoor and indoor sign and display applications, the printer integrates a newly developed mainboard enabling faster data communication and data processing. The 1638X also boasts advanced print automation features thanks to Mutoh’s award-winning Intelligent Interweaving and the new DropMaster technology.
The ValueJet 1638X is specifically targeted at volume users, with a production print speed starting at 10 m²/h at 1080×1440 dpi and goes up to 15, 20, 29 and 36 m²/h, the latter still at 720×720 dpi.
On Stand G20, Atlantic Tech Services (ATS), which has been appointed sole UK distributor for the AEG, OEM range of UV printers, solvent inks and media products, will be introducing the AEG Voyager Pro 2050 UV printer, which uses Xaar’s 1002 printheads to offer high quality, high performance hybrid printing.
CTR Lasers is launching a new laser machine, the TMX65-E, on Stand E38. Uniquely designed to work alongside embroidery machines, the TMX65-E is a compact, versatile floor-standing laser cutting machine, which is ideal for those who are looking for a fast and accurate way to cut and trim fabrics after embroidery work has been completed.
Fastek will be launching its new range of eco-solvent and dye-sub printers under its own Samsonn Digital brand.
The new eco-Solvent range, which can be seen on Stand F41, comprises three widths: the 1.6m with one print head, and the 1.6m, 2.5m and 3.2m, all with two print heads. The dye-sub version will be available in 1.6m and 3.2m widths.
Visitors to i-Sub’s stand (Stand E1), who purchase an Agfa printer during the course of the show will be able to take advantage of up to £8,000 worth of free accessories, including a PC RIP workstation; Asanti RIP software upgraded to Production version; a three-year Workflow Support Contract; an Air Compressor Unit; Roller Extension Tables and 12-lires of Agfa inks.
InkTec Europe, who will be showing on Stand E20, will use the show to launch the latest in the award-winning Jetrix range of UV printers, the Jetrix KX7-D, which follows on from the successful launch of the KX7 earlier this year and offers production speeds of up to 60sqm per hour.
On Stand E2, QPS will be launching a brand new digital ink, the Nazdar 202 Series ink, which has been developed specifically for the Roland Soljet Pro4 XF-640 and XR-640 units and the Roland VersaCamm VSi range.
Ricoh UK will make its Sign & Digital UK debut on Stand J10 where it will be unveiling the new Ricoh Pro L4100 Series large-format roll-to-roll printer. Available in two models: 53″ Pro L4130 or 63″ Pro L4160 it can support up to seven colours in various configurations.
The stand will also be running a Ricoh Pro™ C751EX digital press, the MarcomCentral SaaS-based Marketing Asset Management (MAM) system and a portfolio of Business Driver tools.
Visitors who pre-register for the show (and attend the event) will automatically be entered into the prize draw, with the winning company being informed during May.
