Quality Print Services introduces the Longier RU3200 printer
Quality Print Services (QPS) has introduced the latest Longier grand-format printer model, the Longier Hunter RU3200, to the UK market.
The 3.2m UV LED roll-to-roll printer uses Ricoh Gen5 printheads to provide variable drop sizes of vibrant CMYK and optional bright white ink and varnish, a combination that delivers excellent quality output on a wide range of flexible display materials.
Offering speeds in excess of 80sqm/hr, together with print resolutions of up to 600 x 1,200dpi, the Longier Hunter RU3200 advanced printing system marries reliability with ease of use, thus making it the ideal machine for sign and display companies.
The UK’s first Longier Hunter RU3200 has already been installed at WAE Group, a sign specialist based in Leeds. The company added the new Longier, which has been specially adapted to print unbacked mesh banners and fabric graphics, to its existing Longier Hunter FP-3750 LED flatbed printer, which was installed by QPS in 2015.
Commenting on the original Longier machine, WAE Group’s Managing Director Paul Austin said: “Out of all our machines, the Longier flatbed’s quality is the best we have; we use it when we need a really high-end finish. It offers a smooth print with no banding, it’s also good with fine print and the coverage is excellent.”
Paul Austin added that he was drawn to the energy-efficiency and sustainability offered by the new Longier’s UV LED-curing technology, which has the added benefit of reducing energy requirements and the pollution associated with mercury vapour lamps.
Chris Bailey, Managing Director of QPS said: “We’re delighted to bring the newest Longier Hunter model to the UK as Longier systems definitely rival those of bigger-name brands in terms of their incredible print quality and reliability. We expect to install several more in the New Year, each of which will receive our full engineering support.”
