Queen’s Award for Contra Vision
Contra Vision has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade and, in so doing, becomes one of a select group of businesses that can claim this accolade, the most prestigious business award in theUK.
Contra Vision’s win is in respect of the fact that it has grown its overseas sales earnings by 1084 percent over the last six years and increased exports as a percentage of total turnover from 35 percent to 80 percent, using a network of 18 distributors located across the world from Europe to Australia.
Originally formed in 1985, when Roland Hill, Contra Vision’s Chairman and Managing Director, began patenting and licensing the technology, now known worldwide as Contra Vision see-through graphics, the company has since introduced 27 inventions patented or patent-pending, employs 11 staff and a range of consultants with offices in the UK and the USA and has a network of distributors across Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and North and South America.
In addition, it undertakes significant market research to provide new opportunities that help to ensure its international sales continue to grow.
