Ramping up productivity
Camfree Signs & Graphics hasrecently installed two Ricoh Pro L4100,130 and160 latex printerssupplied by Ricoh partner Atlantic Tech Services.
Based in Southampton, the company, which specialises in vehicle wrapping and signage applications, has enjoyed significant growth during the last five years, so much so that it has recently moved into larger premises on the river Hamble, a location that has also served to increase the workload of its boat wrapping division.
Explaining that the company’s increasing workflow had also precipitated an investment in new equipment,Managing Director James Freeman said: “With the demand for our services growing, wedecided to purchase the Ricoh Pro L4130 and L4160 printers to help us to provide a speedier service for our increasing customer base. In addition, since the machines use Latex inks, we can also offer a more environmentally friendly product, while the elimination of the necessity for outgassing post printingenables us to make last minute changes if required, without disrupting deadlines.”
He added that the fast drying Ricoh AR Latex inks had also contributed to the company’s overall productivity, declaring: “The prints come off the printer fully cured, completely dry and ready to use!”
The Pro L4100 Series Latex Roll-to-Roll Printers feature variable dot GEN5 PiezoPrinthead technology for high quality output and come in a choice of ink configurations including CMYK, CMYK + Orange and Green, or CMYK + Orange and Green plus 2 x White.
The Ricoh AR latex inksets are developed exclusively by Ricohand cure at 60˚C, without the need for an additional optimiser.
