Roland DG committed to Southampton Newtech show
Roland DG has confirmed it will be exhibiting at the next Wide Format, Screen, Digital & Displays Newtech Roadshowto be held at the Botleigh Grange Hotel in Southampton, on 10th- 11th February.
The company will be using the show – its fourth attendance at a Newtech event in just 12 months – to demonstrate the vast range of applications that can be produced on its high performance, production machines, including the VersaEXPRESS RF-640, the VersaUV LEF-20, the VersaSTUDIO BN-20, and the VersaCAMM VS-300i.
Commented Rob Goleniowski, Business Manager, Sign & Graphics, Roland DG: “The Newtech roadshows are becoming an increasingly important component of our annual events calendar and their regional nature is giving us a real opportunity to get closer to many potential customers, who are able to take advantage of the manufacturers effectively coming to their own front door. We’re looking forward to meeting with customers and prospects from across the south of England, introducing them to Roland technology and showing them how they can use these machines to transform their business and increase profitability.”
This is a view echoed by House of Flags’ Regional Manager, Stuart Riding, who visited the Roland stand at the Newtech – Wide Format, Screen, Digital & Displays roadshow in Corby in November last year and, as a result was also the lucky winner of the show prize draw, walking away with a brand new mini iPad!
He said: “The Newtech Corby show was a very interesting and useful event and the fact that it was based in Corby, just 30 minutes away, enabled us to spend more time talking about key products with manufacturers, and to really learn about the technologies we were interested in.”
Visitors to the how will be able to see the VersaEXPRESS RF-640 four-colour printer, which offers print speeds of up to 48.5m2/hr, and advanced productivity features that make it the perfect choice for those sign and print companies who need to deliver consistenthigh quality output, whilst also while keeping the cost of operation low.
Also on show will be Roland’s pocket rocket, the desktop VersaSTUDIO BN-20 print and cut machine. This 20” wide, eco-solvent integrated print & cut device fits into any sign or print production environment and can output full colour and contour cut graphics on a broad spectrum of coated and uncoated media, producing an exhaustive range of durable and eye-catching outdoor and indoor graphics. It is designed to produce applications including stickers, decals, labels, T-shirt transfers, POS and POP, photo prints, signs, posters, small format signage and vehicle graphics – all from the desktop. It uses Roland’s award-winning ECO-SOL MAX ink and comes with a choice of three eco-solvent ink configurations: four colour CMYK (CMMYK), five colour CMYK plus metallic silver ink, or CMYK plus white ink.
For those desiring a print&cut option, the VersaCAMM VS-300i, a powerful, highly versatile and economical 30 inch wide print & cut machine, which also includes a 54” and 64” model, comes with a choice of five different ECO-SOL MAX 2 ink configurations, including white, metallic and light black ink options. The VS-i series will deliver excellent results across a variety applications, including signs, banners, posters, stickers, labels, decals, vehicle wraps, window graphics, exhibition displays, fine art posters, floor graphics, point-of-sale displays, packaging prototypes and heat transfers for garment decoration.
Companies looking to further enhance their product portfolios will appreciate the benefits of the VersaUV LEF-20, which is able to print directly onto any object and substrate up to 100mm deep and is thus an exciting new profit-making device for printing onto 3D objects. It can be used to create unique and highly desirable items, including personalised stationery, key rings, golf balls, mobile phone covers, awards, USB sticks and other giftware and promotional items on the broadest range of substrates including acrylic, wood, board, metal, plastic, PET, ABS, canvas and even soft materials like TPU, leather and fabric. The LEF-20 uses Roland’s ECO-UV inks in CMYK, white and clear formulations, resulting in highly ornate, decorative or innovative products that command a significant margin.
In addition, Roland will also be offering free personalised one-one training sessions on its VersaWorks RIP software and mini-LEF-20 Business Bootcamp. And, it will once again be in good company at the show with exhibitors including Dorotape, Ultima Displays, Goccopro 100, The Magic Touch, Wicked Printing Stuff, Ralawise, AMS, Parkwood and Marketing Alchemy, all of which will be sharing the stage throughout the two days of the show.
