Roland DG inspired visitors at P&P LIVE!
Roland DG UK has completed another successful showing at the annual Printwear and Promotion LIVE! exhibition, which was held at Birmingham’s NEC on 20th-22nd January.
This year, attendees were treated to a broad selection of Roland devices, including the new BT-12 direct-to-garment printer , which is the ideal machine for printing T-shirts. Fast, compact and easy to use, it outputs crisp, clear print and is affordably priced at just £2999.
Another new machine attracting visitors’ attention was the LD-80 laser foiling device, a small-but-powerful printer that can be used to create foil-decorated gift boxes or add the finishing flourish to an existing product.
Old favourites on display included Roland’s evergreen print-and-cut devices, such as the popular BN-20, which combines high print quality and a compact size, plus the TrueVIS SG-300, an entry-level wide-format printer whose benefits were thoroughly espoused by Alex Liggett of The Vinyl Guys, who was on hand to discuss its capabilities from a user’s perspective.
Making its UK tradeshow debut was the XT-640S, a flatbed direct-to-garment sublimation printer that has a large enough bed area to print up to 12 T-shirts in a single print run. Following the introduction of white sublimation ink, it outputs rich, vibrant colour, even when printed on dark fabrics. With release still pending in the UK, the market will have a short wait until the machine becomes fully available.
Sign and print companies that missed Printwear and Promotion LIVE! can see all of these machines and much more by visiting Roland’s Creative Centre, at its Clevedon-based headquarters.
