Roland DG shows personalisation solutions at ISPO Munich
The growth in consumer demand for customised sports equipment and apparel is a key industry trend that presents exciting commercial opportunities for manufacturers, suppliers and to capitalise on this fast-growing demand, Roland DG is exhibiting at ISPO Munich, the leading global trade fair for the sporting goods industry, which attracts in excess of 2,700 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors.
Digital print production is facilitating the move from mass production to mass personalisation across a wide range of products within the sporting goods market, creating a truly engaging customer experience and generating added value for brands and retailers. At ISPO, which takes place on 28th-31st January, Roland is showcasing technology developed to meet the needs of this growing industry.
With Roland technology it is possible to easily and affordably customise sports items including sports kits, footballs, surfboards, ski helmets, flags, athletic clothing and other sports apparel and equipment, all of which can be personalised on-demand for customers.
For those interested in finding out more about why and how they can harness digital technologies to profit through personalisation, Rossella Barbizzi, Sales Representative Retail & Foreign Market for Roland DG Mid Europe, will provide an informative and inspirational presentation as part of the ISPO Academy seminar programme on Tuesday 30th January, at 2.30pm – 2.55pm. Entitled ‘Profit through Personalisation: The Roland Retail Concept’, the session will shine a spotlight on the full range of customisation possibilities and the ways in which Roland DG’s technology is creating profitable new opportunities for all kinds of brands and businesses.
The Roland team will be showcasing a range of technologies on the stand to meet the demands of the current and future sports market. Roland’s VersaUV LEF printers are ideal for item customisation; direct printing text and images onto a huge range of materials including acrylic, plastic, wood, board, metal, glass and leather and onto a variety of objects, such as phone covers, golf balls, fishing reels, hockey pucks, drinks bottles, trophies and much more.
Roland will also demonstrate its compact VersaSTUDIO BN-20 device used to create stickers, labels, heat transfers for clothing, POS displays, posters and more. The BN-20 is also perfect for the point-of-sale personalisation of players’ shirts. Visitors will also discover the METAZA MPX-95, a desktop photo impact printer which produces text and images on plaques, trophies, medals and more.
