Roland gets in the zone
Roland DG has announced further details of its plans for FESPA 2015, with news of the addition of a sixth zone to Stand Q15 Hall 6. already packed with five exciting technology zones and a vast array of creative samples, visitors are now invited to come to the stand to experience the thrill of their new Virtual Reality Zone.
The new Virtual Reality Zone will enable visitors to try out the latest cutting edge interactive wearable technology, virtual reality ‘goggles’, which will instantly transport them to the Roland DG Creative Centres across Europe. Dubbed ‘inspiration factories’, Roland’s Creative Centres are packed with ideas and applications gleaned from Roland users around the world and are designed to spark profitable new business opportunities and encourage creativity.
Visitors interested in the profit potential offered by sublimation printing, should head to Roland’s Sublimation Zone to see the affordable Texart ‘print to finish sublimation solution’.In addition, they will also be able to see, courtesy of Berger textiles, a sewing machinist who will be finishing cushions on the booth, using fabric printed in ‘real time’ by the Texart RT-640 dye sublimation printer and pressed by the newly launched Texart CS-64 calender unit.
In the Print & Cut Zonethey will be able to discover a highly competitive and compelling new alternative to latex, the Lightbar solvent-UV ink system. Offering immediate drying, plus much improved scratch and chemical resistance, as well as significantly lower operating costs when compared to latex, Lightbar is a Partner Solution product collaboration and benefits from a full warranty, delivered by RolandCare on behalf of the Partner Solution provider. The Lightbar will be featured in combination with the popular VersaCAMM VS-640i print and cut model at the show.
The Customisation Zone promises to be a real hub of inspirational entrepreneurial activity for anyone looking to profitably expand their product portfolio, as they will discover how to personalise a host of items, with live demonstrations taking place on Roland’s ‘magical machine’, the VersaUV LEF-20, which will be used to create stunning garments, with T-shirt customisation also taking place on the BN-20 desktop printer/cutter and the recently launched GS-24 vinyl cutter.
For a touch of fun, Roland’s Print & Cut Feature Picture Wall will provide selfie fans with the perfect photo opportunity, as the company is inviting customers to visit its video wall and share their experiences of Roland technology.
Finally, visitors will also be able to enjoy some amazing tricks and illusions from Roland user and renowned magician, James Anthony.
