Shelfies represent a giant leap for shelf-kind
StackaWraps, the UK specialist manufacturer of oversized 3D photo realistic replicas, is continuing to revolutionise the world of semi-permanent retail merchandising units, with the introduction of its new 3D Shelfies product.
Shelfies have been designed to create maximum impact in busy retail, exhibition and event environments, or anywhere where a brand needs to stand out from the crowd. By combining a photo-realistic printed stretch fabric cover with a lightweight and strong internal frame, it has created a brand-new form of free-standing display and stocking unit.
Using its patented specialist software, StackaWraps can take any 2D photographic image and turn it into a fire-resistant wrap that zips up tightly over a bespoke frame made from individually shaped bulkheads, which create an accurate skeletal contour.
The result is a striking 3D display unit, with multiple shelving options, that can range from four feet to eight feet height. Unlike cardboard, the Shelfies wrap can be shaped and joined together to provide a very robust and realistic end result at a fraction of the cost of rigid plastic alternatives, while also helping brand owners to achieve maximum impact within many different environments.
Shelfies are designed as bespoke assembly kits and are supplied flat-packed for easy and cost-effective distribution. They are easy to assemble and offer the additional advantage of being updateable, with the easy addition of new printed stretch fabric for the next promotion or product launch.
Richard Mark Peter, co-founder of StackaWraps, believes there is a real opportunity for a true partnership approach working with like-minded, forward-thinking sign, display and shop-fitting businesses. He explained: “We are very keen to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with POS suppliers on the basis that we manage the specialist process of converting a 2D image to a 3D printed stretch fabric cover. We would also provide the necessary CAD files that will enable our partners to produce the internal structure using their existing cutting equipment. If required, we can also supply fully finished units, but we see that there is a real opportunity for our partners to have much greater control over lead-times and pricing if they produce the internal frames themselves.”
In respect to developing the Shelfies concept, Richard outlines the StackaWraps approach, “We recognise the need to help companies promote Shelfies to their clients, so we can supply ‘mini-samples’ and computer-generated visualisations to our partners. We can even help them to produce their own six-foot tall champagne bottle with internal shelving units to act as the ultimate sales presentation tool. In addition, to illustrate how straightforward the construction process is we have also produced a short video showing a Shelfies champagne bottle being put together.”
