Sign Awards entry deadline extended

Sign Awards entry deadline extended

The deadline for entry to this year’s British Sign Awards has been extended to Friday, September 15th.

“We have been asked by a number of businesses, who found it difficult to meet the original deadline because of work pressures caused by the summer holidays, to give them extra time to get their entries in,” said David Catanach, Director of the BSGA, which organises the event.

“We want to make sure that the best work from UK-based signmakers is represented in the awards and by giving an extra week to get the entries in, we hope that this will be achieved.”

The awards are now in their fourth year and are the highest accolade available to British signmakers.

David Catanach continued: “The BSGA introduced the awards to highlight the creativity and skills that exist in the sign industry and to provide the very best signmakers with tangible recognition for their work.”

A total of 15 awards, representing every facet of signmaking, from landmark architectural signs to creative vehicle wraps and interior décor, will be presented at the gala awards ceremony in Leicester in November.

Entry is free and easy – simply visit and complete the online entry form – and is open to all UK-based sign makers.

“We hope that any sign business that has completed work of which it is genuinely proud and has not yet entered will take this extended opportunity to do so,” said David Catanach. “The awards, which are supported by major companies involved in the sign industry, are judged by a panel of experts, independent of the BSGA, and represent the pinnacle of achievement for British signmakers.”
