SIGNARAMA and York Marina
It doesn’t matter what industry you are in, good old fashioned customer service still counts. Not only does it help to build a company’s reputation, it also helps to drive both repeat and new business. SIGNARAMA York’s work with York Marina is a case in point.
Located on the River Ouse, four miles south of York City Centre, York Marina is a family run business with 400 berths. When it needed to replace its main identification sign, it enlisted the assistance of SIGNARAMA York, who erected a post and panel system which it also decorated using Metamark’s MD5 digital vinyl, together with compatible lamination, materials chosen because of their durability and resistance to weathering.
Having successfully completed this commission, SIGNARAMA was the obvious choice when the marina required further signage for its newly converted chandlery and café. Accordingly, SIGNARAMA manufactured and installed the elegant sign, which comprises white, acrylic flat cut letters and the marina’s logo and now perfectly complements the building’s blue façade. Branding from two of the marina’s main suppliers was also added, using digitally printed Dibond panels, plus an A-board featuring a directional poster.
Over the years, SIGNARSMA York has also provided boat signs for the many owners who have boats moored in the marina. For example, this year it was asked to replace the name on ‘The Maple Leaf’ as a surprise birthday present for its owner. Replacing signage such as this may appear to be a relatively simple task, but the challenge comes in ensuring that the letters are straight and level, no mean feat when the boat is bobbing up and down on the water during installation!
