Spandex acquires Norwegian distributor Skangraf AS
Spandex is further strengthening its market position in the Nordic region with the acquisition of Skangraf AS, an established distributor to the Norwegian sign and display market.
Skangraf is a highly regarded supplier of roll media to more than 1000 customers in Norway, with a 23-year history in the business and a strong reputation for service, quality and next-day delivery from its base in Larvik. The company is the exclusive authorised distributor of Orafol sign, digital and reflective materials and double-sided tapes in Norway and its product portfolio also includes materials from R-Tape, Stahls, Dataplot, Lintec, ATgraphix, Georg + Otto Friedrich and Poli-Tape.
The move builds on Spandex’s acquisition of Schneidler Grafiska AB in 2016 to offer Norwegian and Swedish sign and graphics professionals a comprehensive range of products and services. Skangraf and Schneidler will continue to operate under their own names and locations, with the same experienced staff who will work more closely together to benefit from this new partnership.
Over time, customers of both companies will benefit from the enhanced skills available and a combined product portfolio, which includes leading brands such as Orafol, 3M, Avery Dennison and ImagePerfect, Spandex’s own-brand of coloured self-adhesive vinyl films and digital roll media products.
Anne-Lise Torp Sells, Founder and Managing Director at Skangraf commented: “I look forward to continuing to lead Skangraf as part of the Spandex organisation. Spandex is a well-known brand with similar values and high-quality customer service as our own and we are looking forward to offering an enhanced product range to our existing customers and providing them with the tools to help them take advantage of new business opportunities.”
