Spandex has announced that it is expanding its operations and presence in North Eastern Italy with the acquisition of leading distributor, Bibiemme and in Scandinavia with the acquisition of the sign and display operations of SchneidlerGrafiska in Sweden and Norway.

Based in Padova, and with over 20 years’ experience, Bibiemme is the number one distributor of graphic products in Italy’s Triveneto region. A key distributor of Orafol sign and digital materials, Bibiemme also stocks Siser textile materials, plus a comprehensive range of rigid sheets, including products from ImageBond and Simona, as well as Summa vinyl cutting plotters.

Headquartered in Stockholm, SchneidlerGrafiska is a leading distributor of equipment, print media, inks and related services to sign and display companies and screenprinters representing industry leading brands such as HP, Fujifilm, M&R, Inca, 3M, Avery Dennison, 3A, Arlon, PONGS and Stora Enso Re-board among others.

In each instance, customers will not see any change in their day-to-day dealings with either company, as they will continue to operate independently. However, over time, Spandex will build on the combined strengths that these new allegiances offer to provide a wider portfolio of products and increased service levels to sign makers and graphics professionals in Italy and across the Nordic countries.
