STO Print Production powers on with a swissQprint Nyla 3
For many years, STO Print Production of Poland has cherished a vision and, in the midst of the current COVID-19 crisis, that vision is turning into reality following the company’s investment in a swissQprint flatbed printer that it plans to use to drive growth in the future.

Jan Köster, the CEO and owner of STO Print Production had been toying with the idea of purchasing a swissQprint flatbed printer for ten years but has only recently ordered a Nyala 3, in order to offer enhanced production flexibility.

Services provided by STO Print Production combine the production of signage with traditional craftsmanship, to offer high-calibre individual decorative POP concepts for the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors, as well as a wide variety of corporate clients either via the trade or directly.

The company had outsourced board printing in the past, but as volume soared during recent years, Jan Köster had growing concerns about the cost-effectiveness of this practice.

He said: “The Nyala 3 will enable us to fully use our in-house expertise, which in turn will allow us to grow and develop the business.”

He added that STO Print Production aims to diversify into the production of novel applications and to build up cooperative alliances with partner companies operating within the advertising technology sector and industry in general.

He said: “We very much appreciate the support of SCORPIO, swissQprint’s longstanding partner, as an experienced local point of contact – STO Print, swissQprint and Scorpio are a perfect match.”

In order to capitalise on every possibility and expand its roll-to-roll printing capacity, STO Print Production had its swissQprint flatbed printer equipped with various options, with the addition of the roll-to-roll option facilitating the printing of banners up to 3.2 metres and the dual roll option, which facilitates the production of digitally printed wallpaper and films. The team is already making use of the extra inks, including white, varnish and primer to achieve optical and haptic effects on wallpaper and transparent media, and for printing decorative effects onto glass.

Jan Köster revealed that the company, which prides itself on offering optimum quality and customer-centricity is delighted with the performance of the Nyla 3. He concluded: “We’re highly satisfied with the system and feel confident that we have made the right decision to help us power through the COVID crisis and beyond!”
