Sun Chemical showcases its expertise

Sun Chemical will be using FESPA 2015 to illustrate its commitment and capabilities in the provision of inks for screen, industrial and inkjet printing.

Using the strapline ‘Mission Control’, it will exhibit on Stands C1 & C5 in Hall 8, showcasing new products and innovations, such as three new products in its SunPromo range of solvent and UV curing screen graphic inks, whichwill provide enhanced definition and exceed the needs of screen printers producing graphic display applications.  They include the VioGraph VGF Series, a versatile range of UV curing screenprinting inks specifically formulated to meet the needs of point of purchase applications, the VioFlash VFC Series UV curing inks, which are ideal for high speed in-line printing on a variety of plastic substrates, papers and boards and VioFlex VFX, a series of UV curing screen inks ideal for high speed printing onto semi rigid and self-adhesive PVC substrates.

Digital printing is still rapidly developing and Sun Chemical is continuously enhancing its inkjet range.  It is introducing three new products to its Streamline range of high-quality alternative solvent-based inks.

Streamline Ultima HPQ LO, is an upgrade of the existing Ultima HPQ product, now benefitting from Sun Chemical’s innovative low odourchemistry, while Streamline SGX eco solvent inks have been designed specifically to work with the high performance thin film piezoprintheads for the new Epson SureColor 70600 printer and also feature Sun Chemical’s low odour chemistry.

Finally, Streamline TBJ demonstrates Sun Chemical’s commitment to the superwide format solvent print market. The product is formulated for the HP Turbojet, offering printers significantly reduced energy consumption through improved drying performance.

Soft Signage is a digital textile success story, offering many profitable revenue streams. Acknowledging this market demand, Sun Chemical I presenting Streamline TX, a range of aqueous CMYK dye sublimation inks, offering physical and colour properties equivalent to original inks.

Streamline TX inks have excellent ‘show through’ properties that are particularly sought after for double sided banner applications, such as flag printing, where the image is viewed from either side. The inks deliver excellent, strong colours and dense blacks, both crucial for stand-out soft signage applications.

Reflecting the developments and growth in industrial applications, at Sun Chemical is also launching  its latest industrial ink innovation, SunPolyMonocure Universal Container UCI, a full range of UV-curing screen inks for ultra high-speed printing onto moulded plastic bottles, containers and tubes.

The inks are specifically suited to fast, multi-colour, inter station curing machines, exhibiting excellent definition at the highest print speeds. The range comprises high opacity whites, dense blacks and a full range of high gloss colours.

Robin McMillan, Product Manager, Industrial and Graphics Europe, Sun Chemical commented: “Like so many printers we work for, Sun Chemical has its foundations in screen and offset, but we’ve also gone on to develop deep expertise in digital inkjet too so that we are  perfectly placed to guide printers as they push their businesses forward.

“With customers in all areas of speciality print we have the insights across the universe of print and can apply that combined expertise to find the right solutions for any printer, regardless of their blend of processes. So whatever a printer’s individual mission, at Sun Chemical we can understand their vision and provide the products, innovations, technology and service to enable them to achieve their goals. We’re delighted to showcase new innovations across screen, industrial and inkjet wide format print at FESPA 2015.”
