Surprise, surprise

Students returning to Moor Park School and Sixth Form College after the summer holidays were welcomed by eye-catching new décor.

The colourful contract for Moor Park High School and Sixth Form College was delivered by Preston-based Signs Express (Central Lancashire) and includes digital wall coverings, stained glass effect window displays and large-scale wallpaper on staircases and corridors.

The designs and artwork were produced by Lancashire company CDM as a part of an ongoing contract for the internal and external signage for both the school and sixth form in Moor Park Avenue, Preston.

Working with CDM, the team at Signs Express created 13 separate signs, which are now installed throughout the campus.

Matt Rutlidge, of Signs Express, said: “Working in schools is always rewarding and because we worked in the holidays we knew the new wall and window displays would be a big surprise for students.

“At Moor Park School we had to fit a difficult wallpaper installation on staircases, create a stained glass window effect to match the existing décor on new windows and work on some uneven fixing surfaces, but we have created a very durable signage scheme that will stand the test of time.
