The Print Show 2020 to include a weekend date

Link Exhibitions, the organiser of The Print Show has revealed that the 2020 edition of the annual event will take place in Halls 7 and 8 at the NEC Birmingham on September 27th-29th and include, for the first time, a Sunday opening.

This change is designed to provide sign and print companies, especially those who find it difficult to leave their businesses during the working week, with a welcome opportunity to visit the show at the weekend.

Chris Davies, Event Director for The Print Show, explained that the decision to move the event was based on detailed feedback from visitors to previous shows.

He said: “We’ve enjoyed great success with the show so far, but the fact is that because some members of the industry are too busy to visit during the week, we are moving the opening day to a Sunday and opening up the event to a whole new audience in the process.”

The move has seemingly proved a hit already, with finishing technology leader Vivid Laminating Technologies having already booked its stand for The Print Show 2020. Vivid, which has exhibited at each edition of the event since its launch in 2015, is the first name on the floorplan for next year.

Chris Davies continued: “Following a busy 2019 show, we’ve had an incredible response from exhibitors, with many already indicating their interest in rebooking for 2020.”

The announcement of the 2020 dates coincides with confirmation that a total of 5,445 people attended the 2019 exhibition, which was held over three days at the NEC on September 17th-19th.

Visitors were treated to unforgettable Q&A sessions with the three celebrity speakers, the explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, the former boxing champion Chris Eubank and Gregg Wallace, presenter of the BBC’s popular Master Chef television series. Visitors were also invited to have their photo taken with each celebrity and were able to take home an autographed personalised print as a special memento of the day.

Link Exhibitions will be releasing further information about its exciting plans for next year’s event over the coming weeks and months.
