The Print Show all set for a record-breaking event
Link Exhibitions, organiser of The Print Show has revealed that this year’s event will be the largest-ever edition of the exhibition, covering more floor space and fielding more exhibitors than ever before.
Returning to the NEC on 18th-20th in Birmingham, The Print Show 2018, which will take place in hall nine of the venue, will welcome many leading brands that have supported the event for a number of years. These include Epson, which has enjoyed a presence at the show since its launch in 2015, while Konica Minolta, Vivid Laminating Technologies, Morgana and RISO are also long-term backers of the event
Also returning this year is HP, which enjoyed a hugely successful debut at the 2017 show, while Hybrid Services will once again be featuring wide-format kit from top manufacturer Mimaki.
Xerox will also have a presence at the show on the Xeretec stand, where it plans to demonstrate the new Iridesse press to a UK trade show audience for the first time. In addition, Duplo International will be launching a range of new finishing kit, while Watkiss and Perfect Bindery Solutions will be on hand to talk visitors through its own finishing technology.
The Print Show will also be welcoming some of the leading suppliers and distributors in the UK market, including CMYUK, printMAX, Signmaster Systems and Colourbyte.
Konica Minolta, which has plans to showcase some of its latest solutions, will be using ‘Innovation’ as its theme and is keen to show how its kit can be used to support both the commercial and industrial print sectors.
Elsewhere, Xeikon will demonstrate how its technology can be used to produce commercial print, labels and packaging work, while also highlighting how the ‘possibilities and synergies’ of its digital print production solutions are continuing to expand under the ownership of the Flint Group.
Duplo International, which will feature on one of the largest stands at the show, will be launching several new products, including the DC-516 Cutter Creaser, the PFI-2100 Binder and an updated iSaddle X Saddle Stitcher. Another top finishing brand, Watkiss Automation will be using the event to debut its new PSQ160-WH hand-feed booklet maker, the latest addition to its PowerSquare range, while finishing specialist Renz will be unveiling the new F400 HD Cold UV Coater in partnership with Argos Solutions.
As well as showcasing the best in printing and finishing technology, The Print Show will once again host a series of special, free-to-access features to help visitors get the most out of their visit.
One of the most popular show features since the event’s launch in 2015, the Traditional Print Masterclass will take visitors on a journey through print’s past and highlight some of the printing techniques that have helped to shape the modern industry, as well as helping them to produce their own work to take away as a souvenir.
The Business Seminar Theatre will feature a series of expert speakers, each set to deliver presentations on some of the major talking points in print, while the Software Training Theatre will provide information on the industry’s top software products and advise visitors how they can best use these to enhance their print output.
Elsewhere, the Printers’ Bazaar will feature six specialist areas that are designed to offer an insight into major growth markets across print. Friedheim International will sponsor this area and also head up the ‘Print and Packaging’ section.
Duplo International will greet visitors to the ‘Speciality Print Finishing’ area, while Marqetspace will focus on ‘Textile Printing Products’. Meanwhile, TheMagic Touch will offer advice on ‘Garment Printing’, and Signmaster Systems will tackle ‘Large-Format Print’. In addition, printMAX will highlight ‘Promotional Print Products’.
New for this year is ‘Park Life’, which has been designed to help dispel the conception that print and paper are bad for the environment. Here, visitors will be able to take a break from the show floor and enjoy a rest in seating areas located under a canopy of trees.
