Trident print finishing system to shine at Sign & Digital UK

AXYZ International will demonstrate the Trident hybrid CNC combined routing and cutting print finishing system on Sand F20 at Sign & Digital UK.

This powerful production workhorse enables large-format sign and graphics and print finishing specialists to increase output by as much as 50 percent by comparison with standard CNC routers, whilst obviating the need for investment in two separate machines to carry out these dual requirements.

Trident is said to comprehensively resolve issues frequently encountered when processing an ever-increasing range of different rigid and flexible materials that invariably require a wider, longer and deeper routing/cutting capability. Incorporating a triple-head tool configuration (routing spindle and oscillating/tangential knife combination), the machine will handle materials as diverse as aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, aluminium composites (ACM), acrylic and plastics, foamed and corrugated board, vinyl, cardboard and paper.

Key design features of Trident include a rigid solid steel frame construction to better accommodate more vigorous machine operation, an exclusive live vacuum deck that provides a maximum material hold-down capability and an integrated helical rack and pinion drive system. This multiple gear teeth system ensures a more even distribution of the workload and radically reduced machine wear, leading to greatly enhanced routing/cutting precision and ultimately a longer than average machine life. Trident also incorporates readily interchangeable blade attachments that can be as long as 120mm to enable the processing of harder, thicker and heavier materials.

AXYZ International will also showcase its 24/7 tools and accessories online resource. This constantly upgraded facility accommodates the requirements not only of AXYZ and Pacer routers but also virtually any other machine regardless of make or country of origin.
