UK POS invests £300K in specialist equipment

UK Point of Sale (UK POS), is investing £300,000 in new machinery, after reporting a 23 percent increase in sales in December 2014, and a busy start to 2015.

The company which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary, has recently purchased a new laser cutting system along with several top-of-the-range heat-bending machines, bringing total investment in new equipment to £300,000.

The laser machine XL-3200 is the largest model of the XL series, and the huge dimensions allow large-size materials to be produced with ease. Measuring 89.3” x 126”, the high acceleration of the optical head releasing the laser beam ensures efficiency, even on a large scale.

UK POS also recently expanded its sales team with the appointment of four account managers. This year, the company also plans to grow its ecommerce offering with further new recruits after seeing its web sales nearly double during the last five years, driving a quarter of its total turnover.
