A window of opportunity
Architects, specifiers, designers and signmakers are increasingly turning to window films to create the decorative and privacy effects that traditionally required the production of specialist glass, or the services of a craftsman to etch or hand-paint the design.
In order to satisfy this demand for more creative window graphics, William Smith is offering an extensive range of 3M and Arlon window films, including the 3M 7725 Series, a five year translucent cast film. The Dusted Crystal option is ideal for creating an etched glass appearance, while Frosted Crystal is available in a range of soft colours to simulate the appearance of sandblasted glass. It also offers 3M’s 5525 Series, a five year translucent polymeric calendered film suited for window graphics and internally illuminated displays that comes in a choice of Haze Crystal for etched effects and Sandblast Crystal and now also features an optional Comply air release adhesive for even easier application.
In addition to 7725 and 5525 Series, 3M’s Fasara, and 3OPL Opaque 75, and Arlon’s DPF5400 Series are all suitable for special effects, privacy and decorative window applications.
Arlon Series 5400 etched glass film is a silver, intermediate, calendered vinyl that can be used to create elegant modern, traditional or retro style designs with an etched effect.
For print, coloured and light management effects 3M’s Clearview 8150, the new and innovative Dichroic Glass Finishes DF-PA, and Translucent 3630 and 3730 Series films also offer a range of creative options.
3M and Arlon window films are available from William Smith for next day delivery and can be ordered by the metre.
