Wrights Plastics invests in a ‘productivity powerhouse’
West Bromwich-based Wrights Plastics has unveiled the latest addition to its range of printers, following its £250,000 investment in an Océ Arizona 6170, which will enable it to increase its print productivity, quality and sustainability.
The purchase continues the company’s investment in the Arizona range and its commitment to further expanding its print services.
Commercial Director Andy Watkins explained: “We are pleased to add the 6170 to our suite of printers, primarily because it is three times faster than anything else in the range and is packed with lots of brilliant features, but also because it enables us to provide extra customer benefits, in terms of a faster turnaround and near-photographic image quality, plus crisp, clear text.
“Another advantage is that it has helped us to expand the range of materials we can print on. The clever vacuum function on the printer holds both rigid and flexible material firmly in place, so as well as using our usual plastic-based material, we’ll also be printing onto MDF, ACB, textiles, board, glass – even concrete. In fact, I’d be happy for anyone to challenge us to print on almost any material!”
Andy added that the company can now offer everything from construction hoardings and billboards to fine art graphics.
He concluded: “ In addition to improved productivity and print quality, the Arizona 6170 incorporates the next generation UV curing system, which runs at temperatures that are 30 percent lower than previously, thus helping us to achieve our ongoing aim of reducing our impact on the environment.”
