Fastsigns UK recognises franchisee achievements
A selection of UK signage experts has received a string of accolades for their contributions to the industry, over the past year, at the annual Fastsigns UK Convention Awards 2019.
Hosted by Fastsigns, this year’s event took place at the Hilton at St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent, where stars from the Fastsigns UK franchise network were celebrated.
The Fastsigns UK Convention marks the pinnacle of the franchises’ calendar, bringing franchisees and sales professionals from across the UK together to network, take part in a series of informative talks from keynote speakers and explore the top emerging trends from UK suppliers, such as Metamark and NCS Trade Signs.
A highlight of this years’ convention included presentations delivered by Fastsigns Sales Development Specialist, Baxter Smith, who is based in Fastsigns Head Office, in Dallas, Texas. Baxter delivered insightful presentations aiming to coach franchisees to achieve increased revenues and profits in 2020.
The culmination of the convention event is a glittering awards ceremony, that comprising the presentation of 11 awards that are designed to recognise those franchisees that have consistently gone above and beyond, demonstrated stellar sales acumen, delivered exceptional levels of customer service or completed projects of note over the past 12 months.
Fastsigns’ global CEO Catherine Monson (who is pictured above with John Davies, the Managing Director of Fastsigns UK and the winners of the Franchisee of the year award), also flew in from the United States to meet with franchisees and to discuss her insights into the sign industry, based on everything she’s learned during her 30 years in business and franchising. She was also on hand to present at the awards evening.
Commenting on this year’s event, she said: “The Fastsigns UK Convention is an extra special event for us as it provides the opportunity to bring all our UK franchisees together to celebrate their peers’ efforts over the past year. Each one of our franchisees and their staff adds to the fabric of our network and through their consistent hard work, they help us to continually deliver the excellent levels of customer care and service that people have come to expect from the brand.
“I’d like to thank all members of the Fastsigns UK team for their continued support, but special thanks must also be given to a few of the evening’s leading stars, Employee of the Year, Daniel Andrew-Pugh of Fastsigns Manchester, Sales Professional Newcomer of the Year Anthony Green of Fastsigns Hull, and of course, our Franchisee of the Year, Fastsigns Hammersmith’s Simon Slee.
“Our UK network has some truly great talent and during the past, they have worked on some fantastic customer projects. As we look ahead to 2020, I’m looking forward to celebrating even more successes.”
In addition to those mentioned above, individual awards were also presented to Simon and Friederike Slee of Fastsigns Hammersmith who also scooped the Comprehensive Customer Solutions Award and Nicky Metcalfe (Fastsigns Manchester) who took away the Sales Professional Highest Revenue Award. Further awards were presented to Fastsigns (Kingston), which won the Project of the Year award, Fastsigns (Crawley), which picked up the Sales Improvement of the Year award and Fastsigns Leeds, which won the Top Sales Award, while Metamark was named as the Supplier of the Year.
