Allen Signs wraps up a successful year

Allen Signs is ending a successful year of fundraising by donating 3,000 sheets of festive wrapping paper in aid of St Barnabas Hospice.

The Lincoln-based signmaker has teamed up with the Waterside Shopping Centre after it invited St Barnabas to raise money for its cause by wrapping shoppers’ presents in return for a donation.

Accordingly, Allen Signs’ in-house design team created three different styles of paper in turquoise, dark blue and red, all of which feature the company’s own logo, together with those of St. Barnabas and the Waterside Centre.

In total Allen Signs 1,500 metres of paper – the same length as 75 double-decker buses – on a 100gsm stock with a silk finish.

Commenting on the donation, Glen Merryweather, a Director at Allen Signs, said: “We’ve done a lot of fundraising this year, so it was a no-brainer for us to cap it off by providing St Barnabas with enough paper to ensure that it raises a significant sum this Christmas. I hope people lend their support because St Barnabas is a fantastic charity.”

As well as providing the charity with 3,000 sheets of wrapping paper for free, Allen Signs has also donated a Santa sleigh, a cardboard Christmas tree and will send staff to the centre to help wrap presents too.
