Antalis helps to illustrate British Values

Pupils at a Staffordshire primary school have created a collaborative display using the theme ‘British Values’ thanks to a donation of Libra board from Antalis and cutting services from Zund.

Each of the 70 jigsaw-shaped pieces of Libra board supplied were decorated by pupils at Fulfen Primary School in Bruntwood, Staffordshire, to illustrate the need for adherence to various British values, such as inclusion, caring, lifelong learning, aspiration and tolerance, in school and the community,

On hearing that the school intended to cut out each of the jigsaw shapes manually, Antalis contacted its partner Zund which was delighted to get involved. Using leading technology in its St Albans showroom, Zund cut all 70 tessellating pieces for the school.

Joanne Ashcroft, the teacher at Fulfen Primary School who first contacted Antalis to see if it would be able to support the project with a donation of free materials, was thrilled with the help she received from both Antalis and Zund.

She commented: “We really appreciated Antalis’ support and the generosity it showed Fulfen; it has made such a difference to the work produced.

“All of the children involved in the project are delighted with what they have been able to create. We have now pieced the boards together to make an interlocking display of the childrens’ illustrations of the values.”

Katie Farr, Strategic Marketing Manager at Antalis, added: “When the school contacted us, we were only too pleased to help. Libra board was the ideal product because as well as offering the bright white surface required to show the childrens’ artwork to best advantage, it is also fully recyclable and biodegradable.”
