Creating a Vacuum

In response to the current global crusade to banish and replace all single-use plastic bottles from our daily lives, TheMagicTouch is promoting its image transfer process to decorate and personalise the environmentally friendly vacuum bottles that are now widely reliable.

Using the latest in white-toner technology, together with the established CPM transfer paper, full-colour designs can be applied using a traditional mug press. This process, unlike dye-sublimation, is able to register white and thus full colour imaging is possible on any colour of bottle. This enables each vacuum bottle to be individually decorated to the user’s precise specification making them easier to market and sell.

Vacuum bottles incorporate an insulated food grade stainless steel layer with an insulated liner that is designed to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for up to 12 hours. The bottles themselves are available from all major trade promotional suppliers, online traders and even high street retailers such as Wilko.

They are easy to clean, rustproof and leak proof and feature a wide, drip-free mouth opening. The average cost for the full-colour decoration is less than 25 pence per bottle and takes less than two minutes to produce.

TheMagicTouch also offers a range of coloured enamel mugs that are decorated using the same CPM process with the same traditional mug press.

Commenting on TheMagicTouch’s printing process, the company’s Managing Director, Jim Nicol, said: “These products make real sense and will be part of our lives for many years to come. Until now, the choice of technology available to decorate different colour mugs and drink bottles has been restricted either to traditional screen/pad printing or, more recently, UV printing. However, what we are offering is an affordable, quick and very durable solution that enables our customers to implement new revenue streams using the tried and tested TMT/OKI white-toner technology.”
