Daktronics makes top appointments
Daktronics has appointed Reece A. Kurtenbach (right) as Chief Executive Officer and President of Daktronics, and Peter Egart (Left) as Vice President of Daktronics international regions in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Based in Wiesbaden, Germany, Peter Egart, who began his career at Daktronics in the USA, in 1993, following fifteen years working within network television as a director, manager and producer, is in charge of all sales and service operations for international customers EMEA and Latin America. He is responsible for strategic development of new business, management of Daktronics subsidiary offices, and strengthening international relationships.
He has played a key role in establishing the business communications market niche for Daktronics and developed sales that achieved consistent sales and profit growth.
Reece A. Kurtenbach first joined Daktronics in 1982 when, as a university student, he started working in the company’s manufacturing and customer services. Following his graduation from South Dakota State University, he worked for two other technical companies, before returning to Daktronics in 1991 to work as an Applications Engineer on large display projects. In 1994, he became manager of a design group, leading the development of Daktronics’ first full colour LED video display product. Since then, Daktronics has become a leader in the technology of large screen LED video displays, and the acknowledged world leader in sales in this product category.
Jim Morgan, the outgoing president and CEO of Daktronics, is retiring after 44 years’ service in the company.
