Dragon Signs rises to the challenge
After undergoing a process of diversification in order to meet the demand for protective equipment to tackle the risk of Covid-19 in workplaces, signmaker Dragon Signs, has enjoyed a series of contract wins.

Among the first companies to benefit from Cardiff-based Dragon Signs’ manufacturing agility was Connells Group, one of the country’s largest estate agency networks. The two organisations joined forces to ensure the safety of all the Connells Group staff and customers as the company reopened its 600 branches following lockdown.

Protective equipment delivered to Connells Group included shatterproof, polycarbonate sneeze screens and desk dividers, health and safety stickers and directional floor graphics, as well as CE approved category three full-face visors.

Rhys Harrington, Director of Dragon Signs (pictured above), commented: “It is thanks to the flexible way our company operates that our teams were able to react quickly when the pandemic hit earlier this year, using our in-house facilities to produce this vital equipment.

“It’s safe to say that 2020 hasn’t been what we had envisaged, but I’m proud to say that we used our creativity to transform our business, protect jobs and produce vital equipment that will enable organisations to keep going at this incredibly challenging time.”

Phil Smith, Head of Group Procurement at Connells Group, said: “The safety of our colleagues and customers is paramount so, from the beginning of the pandemic, we have been working with our team and suppliers to ensure that we can continue to operate in the safest way possible.

“Having previously worked with Dragon Signs we already knew that it produced materials of the highest standard, so we felt confident that its protective equipment would be first-rate too. While Covid-19 remains a threat across the UK, we are secure in the knowledge that our colleagues can interact with our customers in a Covid-19 Secure manner.”
